Thanks for the inspiration! I've had many cats during my lifetime (presently two). They've been a source of consistent delight.

Very interesting post, Avalon the cat you speak of), my BFF has taught me a lot about "perception" actually because he has never fit the sterotrype. Not many cats actually love water, he does- plays in it everyday, cats are supposed to have nine lives, he's had 20, most cats when they get old become lethargic (I have had several), he plays like a kitten, I could go on and on, thanks Viki for reminding me to look for the little things that mean so much in the bigger picture

You always have the most entertaining and informative articles.

In your article you mention the saying about "walking a mile in others shoes".

Perhaps it can be said this way as well....

"Never criticize anyone until you have walked a mile in their shoes.

But, if they do get mad, just remember...

you are a mile away and you have their shoes:)"

I also liked the reference to your love of rice on the road and Amazon.com's support for your taste buds. I liked jessie's idea of downloading the digital camera memory cards when returning home. Hmmm, keep hearing about "streaming netflix" . . . exploring connecting my HP laptop to HDTV monitors.

Thanks Lara! Good mention about dropping the DVD's in the mail. The next ones in queue are waiting for you when you get home, too. I visited your blog, too—it's delightful! You're very talented.

Nice post, I also love my Kindle and I also love the new streaming netflix. I also take the actual DVDs with me when I travel (with in the U.S.) to watch on my
powerbook. Then just drop them in the mail! So easy.

First Things First is a good book for finding your passion. I also like to recommend David Schwartz's The Magic of Thinking Big. It offers a lot of tools for success.
